Legal terms of use

JOWD only exports documents for which FPS Justice has granted print authorisation. Active JustOnWeb access and itsme or eID authentication are required. The tool does not bypass any restrictions imposed by FPS Justice.

Frequently asked questions

How many computers can I use with JOWD Individual?
Up to four, for example your office computer, a laptop and your home computer. The plan covers one lawyer, and only one export can be in progress at a time, across all computers.
Can I run two exports at the same time?
No. JOWD Individual allows only one export at a time under the same licence, whichever computer is used.
How does the subscription work?
You choose a billing period: monthly, quarterly or yearly. The licence stays active during the paid period and renews automatically. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid. To change billing period, write to support.
I tried JOWD for free first: how do I switch to a subscription?
Subscribe to JOWD Individual: you receive a new licence key by email, separate from the trial key. The trial is neither converted nor extended, and you can use it until its end date. When JOWD tells you the trial has expired, choose « Enter another key » and paste the new key.
Do prices include VAT?
No. All prices are shown excluding VAT. The applicable VAT is calculated and displayed before payment is confirmed.
I need an invoice with a VAT number.
On the subscription page, tick « Professional purchase (B2B) » and enter your VAT number. The invoice is generated automatically.
I'm changing computer — what should I do?
You can activate JOWD on four computers. An activation stays tied to the computer on which it was made: if all four slots are in use and you need to replace one, contact support, who will review your request.
Does the tool work for all JustOnWeb case files?
Only for documents for which printing is authorised by FPS Justice. If a document is not printable, it will not be exported.
If new documents are added to the case later, do I have to re-download everything?
No. Re-run the export and choose the same destination folder: documents already saved are recognised and not downloaded again.
I already subscribe to a 1 or 2 computers plan: what changes?
Nothing. Your subscription continues under the terms you accepted when you subscribed.

Who is covered by the firm offer?
All lawyers practising within the firm, whether or not they use the software, based on the headcount declared by the firm. The price is that of the tier matching this number: a firm of 4, 7 or 10 lawyers falls within the same tier, at 2,500 € excl. VAT per year.
How is the number of lawyers determined?
When making its request, the firm declares the total number of lawyers practising within it. This number may be verified on the basis of reasonable professional information.
How does it differ from JOWD Individual?
JOWD Individual is a subscription for one named lawyer, taken out online and billed monthly, quarterly or yearly. The firm offer is a separate collective offer: an annual price per tier, based on the total number of lawyers in the firm. A firm that only wants to cover a few lawyers can also take out JOWD Individual subscriptions.
How is the firm offer invoiced?
Once a year, at the tier price, excluding VAT. From 26 lawyers, the price is a capped flat fee of 4,500 € excl. VAT per year, whatever the number of lawyers. The service is put into operation after payment of the annual invoice.
How do I request a firm offer?
Use the « Request a firm offer » form, stating the firm's name and the total number of lawyers practising there, or write to sales@jowd.be. We will contact you to discuss your needs; the firm offer, sent to you in writing, sets out the set-up arrangements.
