Ensure Node.js 18+ is installed (download from nodejs.org). Check logs at %LOCALAPPDATA%\JOWD\logs\app.log.

macOS refuses to open the applicationβΊ
Go to System Settings (βοΈ) β Privacy & Security. Scroll to the "Security" section. You will see the app name with an "Open Anyway" button β click it and confirm.
The "Open Anyway" button does not appearβΊ
Try via Terminal: right-click on the app β Open β Open (confirm). Or via Terminal: xattr -cr "/Applications/JOWD.app"
The app crashes at startup on macOSβΊ
Check logs at ~/Library/Logs/JOWD/app.log. Ensure macOS 12 Monterey or later is installed.

The licence pop-up reappears at every launchβΊ
Check that the app has write access in ~/Library/Application Support/JOWD/ (macOS) or %LOCALAPPDATA%\JOWD\ (Windows).
Error "Invalid key" or "Licence revoked"βΊ
Check that you are copying the key exactly as it appears in the email (format JOWD-XXXXXXXXXX). If the problem persists, contact support with your purchase email.
Error "Maximum number of computers reached"βΊ
Your licence is already activated on 2 computers. Contact support with your licence key to free up a slot.
Error "Connection required" after 7 daysβΊ
The 7-day offline grace period has expired. Connect the computer to the internet and restart the application to validate the licence.
π Large case files & performance
The expansion takes a very long timeβΊ
Expansion is normally near-instant (a few seconds). If it seems stuck, check your connection and do not close the browser.
The download stops mid-wayβΊ
Simply restart the application. Already downloaded files will be detected and skipped. Downloading resumes automatically from the first missing document.
Some documents are not downloadedβΊ
Check that you have access to these documents on JustOnWeb (some may be protected or require specific access). Check the logs for more details.
